Black Bear Study

The black bear study conducted by Tim Langer, N.C.StateUniversity

The North Carolina Wildlife Habitat Foundation was pleased to join hands with other members and major sponsors of our organization to provide a portion of the funding for the extensive research conducted by Tim Langer to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of monitoring black bear populations with hair sampling and genetic identification. The study was presented to the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission as part of Dr. Langer’s dissertation.
