Trout Stream Restoration, Peak Creek

The North Carolina Wildlife Habitat Foundation has partnered with Trout Unlimited and several local chapters to provide funding to stabilize stream banks on Peak Creek and other streams in Ashe and Alleghany counties. This is a cooperative project with the Blue Ridge Parkway, which will protect aquatic habitats through the NCWRC stream enhancement program.

We plan to continue our effort to work with Trout Unlimited, one of our major sponsors, to protect and improve our cold-water fisheries in North Carolina.
